Mikrolimni
On the banks of the Lake Mikri Prespa , 37 km from Florina and 45 km from Kastoria we meet Mikrolimni. It is built at an altitude.854m. and inhabited in the winter by 60 people and in the summer by 80, with income derived from agriculture (bean cultivation), fishing and farming . In the surrounding area there are mixed beech forests, anchovy, oak and cedar.
From Mikrolimni someone can see the largest colony of cormorants in Vidronisi island. Within the village is the church of Ag. Athanasius, while on the road Beech-Mikrolimni there is the church of Ag. Paraskevi preserved painted wooden iconostasis. At the entrance of the village there is a three-aisled basilica of 1908. The village is celebrated on 2/5 of Ag. Athanasius.
In 1949 more than 200 residents fled to Yugoslavia and in Eastern Europe.
